While the event is held during the brisk winter evening, the atmosphere created by the Yukimi Kaido Inabu lanterns is truly heartwarming. Nighttime illuminations of the nearby icefall and Kaze no Tsuribashi Suspension Bridge too offer visitors a surreal, magical scene.
And while Inabu, located in the northeasternmost region of Aichi, becomes quite chilly during winter, you can enjoy the Soup-1 Grand Prix event held while the lanterns are lit. Taste a variety of warm soups as the participating vendors compete for the title of "Most Delicious"—decided upon by each diners' vote.
