The 2021 Tokoname Pottery Festival has been cancelled.

Tokoname Ware - Pottery That Exists in the Midst of Every Day Life

Tokoname-yaki pottery boasts a thousand years of history, and the workshops, artists, wholesalers and more come together at this large spot-sale market.

In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), this year’s Tokoname Pottery Festival will not be held at the usual venue of Boat Race Tokoname. Instead, the festival will take place over nine days across four main venues, online through the Tokoname Pottery Festival web site, and at participating stores in the city.
Come search for pottery that captures your interest and encounter wonderful new works.

*: Starting in 2017, the Festival will be held in autumn instead of summer, with only the fireworks still held in summer.
