INAX MUSEUMS offers plenty of noteworthy sites and hands-on experiences with craftsmanship techniques developed in the traditional pottery town of Tokoname. Within the grounds are six facilities where you'll be able to encounter a versatile world of clay and ceramics centered around the keywords of discovery and legacy.

At the INAX Tile Museum you can discover the wonders of ceramics and tiles, including decorative tiles from various periods across the world, and their uses. There are over 1,000 different tiles from the Orient, Islamic tiles, Spanish, Dutch, English, Chinese and Japanese decorative tiles on display. Replicated tiles from ancient Egypt and Asia, floor tiles, wall tiles, ceiling tiles, bathroom, kitchen and fireplace tiles,…who knew there could be so many uses for tiles? Obviously someone did.
