Seasonal festivals for girls and boys

Corresponding to the dates for the Hina Festival on March 3 and Children’s Day on May 5, cultural properties you normally can’t see are on display at Tahara Municipal Museum. These properties include Tahara's Hina dolls, which have been handed down for generations, and traditional "first kites"—or kites flown to celebrate the birth of a child—made by the Tahara Kite Preservation Association. Take this opportunity to discover ways of wishing for children’s healthy growth unique to Japanese culture along with the city of Tahara's history.
