See Rare Flowers Covering the Mountainside!

Orange spider lilies (Lycoris sanguinea) grow wild in Mt. Okuri's Japanese zelkova forest. These beautiful orange flowers are part of the amaryllis family. The best viewing time is every year from mid- to late August. Please head out in comfortable shoes for walking. For details about the exact place, please inquire at the tourism information center (Inabu Tourism Association) within Roadside Station “Michi-no-Eki” Donguri-no-Sato Inabu. The staff can also tell you about nearby sightseeing spots, so be sure to stop by.

    Access by car
    1km after the intersection of National Route 153 and 257 (Inabu-cho Intersection), turn left and enter Prefectural Road 80. From there, continue 4km until you see the signpost. Park (as there is no parking lot, please use space along the side of the road or elsewhere) and walk approx. 600m.
